Kellog is a historic old mining town in the silver Valley of Shoshone County in the Idaho panhandle.
The Sunshine Mine, 1884, has the reputation of being the top producer of silver in the United States.
In 1972, the mine was the site of one of the worst US mining accidents that resulted in the death of 91 miners.
The old town features some interesting old buildings.
